Job Details: Oyominto TV, Your No.1 Gusii TV Station, informing you on the what is happening in in Nyamira,Kisii County Kenya and around the world. Oyominto TV, Egetacho ki`amang`ana Amanuke .
Key Responsibilities
• The television producer will be responsible for developing ideas for new shows. A minimum of 2 shows will be required in each quarter.
• The incumbent will responsible for pre-production, production and post-production of programmes.
• The television producer will be responsible for researching various needs required for programmes.
• He/She will be responsible for scripting for different shows.
• The TV Producer will oversee production by managing crew and talents on location to ensure there is discipline onset and an optimum output during production time.
• He/She will write a production report, preview and log raw footage after shoots to ensure footage can be used by the video editor.
• The TV Producer will oversee post-production activities with the video editor and ensure the quality meets OyomintoTV broadcast standards and delivery within the scheduled time.
• He/She will ensure that a production budget is made before commencement of production and is followed during production and no unplanned expenses crop up during production.
• Ensure production equipment together with the technical crew is taken care of during production.
• Exceptional knowledge of news, current affairs
and discussions, in particular stories that appeal to Oyominto TV audience.
• Take up any duties assigned by the production manager.
Minimum Qualifications
• Diploma in TV Production/ Media Studies or a relevant field from a recognized institution. – A university degree is an added advantage.
• 2- 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Ability to translate from English to Gusii or vice versa will be an added advantage.
