Oxfam is looking tor competent persons to join our dynamic, innovative and committed team in the following position:
Senior Finance Officer-Voice Project
(Fixed Term, based in Kampala)The Senior Finance Officer will have overall financial management cl the project portfolios and is responsible for Partners Financial Capacity enhancement; as well as project and partner financial reporting.
The lob entails building and maintaining effective financial systems and accounting frameworks that facilitate quality delivery of project
results.
Skills and experience: You are required to have a Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or Commerce and professional certification in accounting are an added advantage.
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in providing a financial support services to an NGO, knowledge of computerised systems and demonstrable experience of working with computerised accounting packages and spreadsheets and proficiency in numeracy skills, Significant knowledge and experience of all core financial management activities, including accounts payable, cash management, budget development, statutory requirements (particularly related to Ugandan standards) and standard accounts;
Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences. openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender mainstreaming, women's rights, and diversity for all aspects oi development work.
