One of our clients, in the Construction Industry, based in Juba, South Sudan in is looking for a qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Construction Manager

The Manager will be responsible for overseeing construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety in order to achieve the set Company goals and objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Create and review Requests for Information and Requests for Proposal and Change Orders.

Ensure that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices.

Provide technical support to Project Managers.

Supervise new property development

Scheduling and supervise renovation work

Bidding and shortlisting suppliers

Supervise properties security and caretakers

Coordinate design, cost estimation for new development proposals

Schedule and supervise routine vehicle and generators maintenance

Recruit, test, prepare payroll and supervise company tippers drivers

Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records.

Perform change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations.

Coordinate and monitor schedule updates, invoices, and submittals.

Assist in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules.

Review weekly and monthly reports on the

status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes.

Report the status of projects to business and market leaders.

Attend client program meetings as needed.

Job Requirements & Competencies

Bachelor’s or Masters of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required

5+ years of project experience working in the construction industry required

EIT certification preferred

Experience with large Commercial facilities construction sites preferred

Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred.

Prior working and hands on experience in construction site supervision

Clear understanding of building sites safety measures

Ability to Manage diverse teams and drive results.

Excellent oral and written Communication Skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
