Introduction

Othaya Mukurweini Water Services Company which is in Nyeri County is contracted by Tana Water Services Board its Successor and Assignee to provide water and Sanitation services in Mukurwe-ini and Nyeri South Sub Counties. To strengthen our team of staff, we invite applications from competent and experienced individuals who are proactive and self driven to fill the following position within the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising the operations and maintenance of the water distribution network
  • Ensuring that quality service is provided to customers.
  • Ensuring effective and economic utilization of available resources
  • Ensuring timely and economic repair of leakages or breakdown in the supply system and reporting any major breakdowns to the Technical Manager
  • Increasing customer base
  • Participating in rapid result activities g) Resolving customer complaints related to water distribution
  • Supervising and appraising staff
  • Participating in revenue collection
  • Reduce non revenue water
  • Responsible for all company assets under you
  • Report any upcoming buildings, irrigation and high consumers for investigation and action
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned from
    time to time.

    Qualifications

  • Minimum of Ordinary Diploma in Water Engineering Civil Engineering or equivalent in related field
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in operation and maintenance of water and sewerage services
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
  • Planning and organizational skills

  • Reliability of quality and adequate of distributed water Effective costs control Quality service to customers
  • Continuous improvement of the system Achievement of net performance targets
