Options Consultancy Services Senior Quality of Care Technical Advisor Jobs in Kenya

We are seeking a Technical Advisor that will provide high-level expertise to programmes in Africa and South Asia and has a a strong track-record of providing technical assistance on health systems, governance and accountability and in developing capacity of local counterparts/institutions.

Responsibilities:

The Technical Advisor, Health Systems Evidence, will provide technical support to Options’ portfolio of programmes in Africa (including Francophone) and South Asia.

The post-holder will be able to support design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health programmes (especially RMNCAH), focussed on systems and use of evidence for accountability.

Specific areas of work include use of evidence and advocacy to increase accountability of governments and domestic prioritisation and investment in maternal, neonatal and child health (MNCH); building the capacity of government and civil society to improve investments and increase accountability; support to country teams on monitoring, evaluation, research and learning.

Person Specification:

An MSc or PhD or related comparable experience in public health/sexual and reproductive health/public policy/political science

Experience of delivering technical work on health systems in Africa and/or Asia

Experience of programme monitoring, evaluation, research and learning

An understanding of use of evidence for advocacy and accountability

Knowledge about Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in developing countries

Fluency in written and

spoken English essential. Fluency in written and spoken French desirable.
