Opportunity Bank Senior Manager – Retail Banking Jobs in Uganda

Job Purpose

To provide leadership and overall direction of business growth in the Retail banking, oversee the growth of deposits and risk assets.

Key Result Areas

• Lead the development and implementation of business growth strategies for Retail Banking

• Manage all staff in Retail Banking to achieve increased value creation, volume of business and enhanced profitability for the bank

• Directly supervise the activities of Business Managers to ensure optimal achievement of set targets and optimal staff productivity

• Carry out Business development initiatives to seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities.

• Ensure the achievement of agreed targets in terms of deposit targets and risk assets mobilization

• Establish and ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service to all clients

• Responsible for the assessment of key risks in the retail business and the development of prudent mitigants to address them.

• Directly responsible for providing continuous leadership, supervision, development training for all the line staff, ensuring skills gaps are identified and bridged, succession plans are followed and implemented, and overall performance management is done.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field and professional training in Banking.

• 10 years of banking experience,

5 of which should have been at a manager level.
