About us Our vision is to make electric transport more accessible to a broader market by making the technology more cost-efficient and simplifying deployment. The company focuses on all-electric conversion kits for fleet vehicles such as light trucks, public transport and buses, as well as electric motorcycles and energy systems.
We're currently looking to hire a talented Head of Production to join our Production team and help us deliver the ambitious and exciting milestones in an evolving roadmap across our full range of products and services.
About the role:
We are looking for a Head of Production who will oversee the production line, spending considerable effort creating a pilot line and scaling up to thousands of products per year via multiple lines.
As the Head of Production you will get hands-on and see the impact of your work very quickly in an agile environment: our typical project lifecycle is between two and 4 weeks and, although we often work on initiatives that run longer, we always divide these up into smaller tasks and aim to ship regularly. You’ll have the room to learn from supportive and collaborative colleagues, with time set aside for professional development and more self-directed work on a regular basis
Key Duties and responsibilities:
Designing and upgrading various manufacturing processes to achieve the desired productivity
Planning and controlling of costs vs budget.
Planning and controlling of resources (equipment, people, material); reduce production expenses by optimizing material management method and machine maintenance level.
Leading change management (organization, processes)
Responsible for productivity/process efficiency and continuous improvement
Drive ESH activity in the workplace following the regulation and safety standard to maintain a safe environment and reduce sick leave rate;
Monitor of Line Information Boards
and deviation management. Leading corrective actions to systemic issues;
Execute Production Segment routines and discusses with the next management level upon problems and/or deviations in routine fulfillment
Ensure the proper execution of Problem Solving;
Implements Zero Defect approach;
Ensure the disposition of the non-conforming parts;
Supports Internal and External Audits;
Reduce quality costs by improving the operator's quality sense.
Qualifications
Must have at least 10 years’ experience in manufacturing operations with at least 7 years in a management capacity
Must have a relevant bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Engineering
Must have the ability to create and monitor KPIs to accurately forecast daily/weekly/monthly production targets to meet production demands.
Must have the ability to develop and introduce best-in-class master production scheduling practices through a thorough evaluation of the current planning and production processes.
Must have strong project management, organizational, analytical and computer skills including Microsoft Office and applicable proprietary software applications with the ability to integrate new technology (ERP systems) into an existing business environment.
Must have proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
Must have working knowledge of OSHA and ESA and GMP standards and regulations preferred.
Extensive Lean Manufacturing experience with automotive experience preferred.
