Duties And Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:

Assisting the Procurement Officer in day to day management of purchasing supplies functions;
Filing of purchasing documents;

Assisting the Procurement Officer in disposal of obsolete materials; and

Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by their supervisors or Head of Section from time to time.

Requirements For Appointment

For appointment to this grade one MUST have:

Bachelor of in Supplies Management or relevant degree in Business Administration, Economics, or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.

One (1) year experience in comparable position preferably in public service or University setting
Computer training relevant to procurement function.

Be a member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or equivalent.

Have knowledge of professional standards.

Have knowledge of Public Procurement and Assets Disposal Act 2015.

Registered member of ICPAK or Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and in good standing
ICT knowledge relevant to audit is a MUST.

Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, 2012 (regulations 2015), Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015, local taxation laws and all other laws governing management and financial reporting.
