Duties And Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:

To assign duties to ground guards and other sensitive assignments.

To take initial action on any reported incident.

To oversee searches, inspections, patrols and report to the supervisor.

To visit the scene of crime or incident and preserve evidence discovered.

Participate in crime deterrence activities.

Detection of unauthorized persons, vehicles, animals and birds from entering premises and/or protected areas; and protection of Judiciary property against theft and destruction.

Ensure maximum guard duties are carried out.

Ensure maximum Patrol Duties.

Supervise, Gate Keepers, sentry.

Security Desk Duties.

Search Duties at the place of work.

Keep, update and maintain precise and accurate records.

Protect lives and property.

Requirement For Appointment

For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:

Certificate in Criminology/ Security Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Minimum KCSE D+.

Minimum three (3) years relevant work experience.

Certificate of Good Conduct.
