Open University of Kenya Assistant Maintenance Officer Jobs
The Officer will be responsible for coordination and management of maintenance of estates, buildings, furniture & fittings, equipment, machines & plants and utilities (water, sewerage and electricity).
Duties And Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
Read and interpret technical drawings for maintenance tasks.
Estimate costs and quantities of materials and equipment needed.
Supervise maintenance activities and equipment upkeep.
Assign and coordinate tasks for maintenance staff.
Plan and manage maintenance work schedules.
Oversee construction work on capital projects.
Provide technical advice on construction projects.
Ensure high-quality service and workmanship.
Requirements For Appointment
For appointment to this grade, one MUST have:
Diploma (KNEC) in Building Construction or Building & Civil Engineering
KSCE C (plain)
Six (6) years’ experience, three (3) of which must have served as Senior Artisan (Building)
OR
Higher National Diploma (KNEC) in relevant field or its equivalent from a recognized institution with 3 years’ experience, as Senior Technician (Building).
