About the Role

  • The MEL data coordinator will lead our data collection in a rural setting to help make informed and strategic decisions for improving the impact of our programs. Additionally, the Data Coordinator will speak about the MEL department’s objective and differentiate the core program’s role when working with farmers. .

    Responsibilities

    • Design and analyze (survey-based) studies and Field Research.

    • Train the field supervisors.

    • Contribute to the design and programming of surveys and other data collection tools to ensure excellent data accuracy..

    • Clean data, prepare datasets, and present primary survey results to interpret findings.

    • Conduct qualitative research using focus-group discussions and farmer interviews.

    Qualifications

    Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for. For this role specifically, you will have:

    • Knowledge of the CommCare Programming system is required.

    • Demonstrated long-term passion for international development and serving smallholder farmers

    • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Demographics, Statistics, or another related field.

    • At least two years’ experience with M&E data management (data processing and analysis).

    • Project planning, management, and execution experience, including work with systems.

    • Data management experience.

    • Knowledge of Stata Programming system.

    • Leadership and mentorship experience,
    including a clear record of leading teams and providing professional development support for the team members.

    Preferred Start Date

  • Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, start dates can vary significantly by role. We are adapting rapidly to Covid-19 and most of our team is now working remotely. Given the changing environment, we will
    appreciate your flexibility in confirming a start date.

    Job Location: Kabwe, Zambia
    Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off
