About One Acre Fund

Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive.

We provide quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural trainings to improve harvests.

We measure our success by our ability to make farmers more prosperous: On average, farmers harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.

We are growing quickly. We currently serve more than 800,000 farm families in Eastern and Southern Africa, with more than 7,500 full-time staff, and we aim to serve 1 million farm families by 2020.


Job Description

To fulfill our mission, we need to recruit great people to join our team. Every year we receive tens of thousands of applications, and we are looking for a project management professional with at least 5 years of experience who is passionate about people and data, is a relationship builder, and is a resourceful and process-minded thinker.

Successful candidates will sincerely enjoy working with people from lots of different backgrounds, be committed to results, and excel in a client-first environment.

The scope of work for this role will include a variety of projects that support the Global Recruitment Team. As a Recruitment Associate with our Candidate Experience team, you will:

Manage 8-12 high value and senior candidate pipelines: You will manage multiple pipelines at any given time providing a positive customer experience to candidates and hiring managers.

Candidate database management: Using our Applicant Tracking System, you will track the full-cycle recruitment for each applicant and will analyze data received to improve processes.

Candidate Communication and Support: Our hiring process is rigorous and requires many steps, including multiple interviews and exercises. Throughout, you will provide excellent customer service to all candidates and hiring managers and enjoy winning in the details.

People Management: You might take on the management of 2-3 recruiters covering a portion of our operations. You will enjoy supporting and mentoring the growth of junior professionals.

Qualifications

We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years of work experience to serve in a position that combines project management and people management for global recruitment in a social enterprise. Successful candidates will have the following qualifications and achievements:

Project management: You have a project management track record - you've seen complex projects to completion and enjoy working in the details.

Inclusive relationship-builder: You'll speak with candidates and hiring managers from East Africa and around the world and would be excited to work with them in a friendly and professional way.

Data analysis: You have experience using and analyzing data from Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or other data tools to achieve results and create applicable, concrete solutions.

Command of English: You can write and speak in clear and impeccable English; Fluency in French or Swahili a plus.

People management skills: Prior people management experience required, remote management experience a big plus.

A humble approach to service: We are looking for passionate professionals who combine good humor, patience, and humility.

Experience: Experience as a recruiter or talent acquisition specialist is helpful, but not essential. We encourage you to apply if you have a background in consulting, business development, or project management.

The Recruitment Associate will join our Global Recruitment Team and report to one of our Candidate Experience Managers.
