About the RoleAs a health Nutrition Officer, you will build a positive relationship with the participants to ensure training attendance, interactive voice response (IVR) drama audio uptake and behavior change for these farmer households and coordinate group trainings and personal calendar and tasks on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
You will be reporting to Health Study Coordinator
Responsibilities
Organize and coordinate monthly group trainings to male and female groups in the different sites assigned to you with strict adherence to the training schedule and use of adult learning methods.
Mobilization of study participants to ensure 100% attendance in meetings/ group trainings
Mobilization of study participants to ensure participants listen to the audio drama in between the group meetings and utilise the counselling hotline.
Work with participants to Identify barriers and enablers to behavior change. They would also counsel and lead discussions to help participants identify solutions to the challenges.
Use mobile platforms on tablets to organize schedules, follow checklists and collect specific data from participants.

Qualifications
Across all roles, these are the general qualifications we look for.
For this role specifically, you will have:
Certificate or Diploma in Nutrition, Dietetics, Home economics, Community development or Social work with at least 1 year working experience in these fields.
Basic work organization skills, deadline focus, prioritization of tasks.
Follow complex instructions and make independent decisions.
Excellent communication skills, empathy and cultural specific social awareness.
Smartphone/tablets skills to record data and send messages to the team.
Fluency in English, Swahili and local language (Luhya or Luo or Kisii depending on assigned study sites).
Determination and commitment in improving health and nutrition outcomes of OAF households.
Excellent attitude, team spirit, humility.
Experience with counselling people on different aspects of health, nutrition and gender dynamic.
