Othaya Mukurweini Water Services Company is a water provider which was contracted by Tana Water Services Board to provide water and sanitation services under its license in Nyeri South and Mukurweini-Sub counties under the previous Water Act 2002.

Water services are devolved therefore the company is under the County Government of Nyeri under Water Act 2016.

To strengthen our team of staff and leadership, we invite applications from highly competent, proactive and self driven individual to fill the following position within the company.

TECHNICAL MANAGER (Based et Mime] Reporting to the Managing Director, the Technical Manager's Overall responsibility is effective and efficient utilization of resources through development of production, reduction of downtime of equipment and continuous improvement of water processes to meet customer demand/needs Responsibilities and Duties

Reviewing and developing production plans and strategies and establishing performance standards Identifying production capacity and market demand and formulating appropriate counter measures to improve the performance Monitoring the implementation of production plans and improvement programmes Planning for equipment and facilities required for production and operations Directing, coordinating, controlling and managing the company's operations and maintenance of infrastructure to ensure that services are focused to meet customer needs I f) Developing a customer focus to provision of services by forming and maintaining good working relationship with r customers and other partners t Organizing for project design, implementation and effective management including major and minor construction works, either by using external consultant or in-house resources Developing long-term departmental strategies, policies and plans to facilitate achievement of overall company's objectives Supervising, appraising staff and identifying their training and development needs Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Related services of which two (2) years is experience in a senior management position.

A sound understanding of the reforms taking place in the water sector in Kenya High level of

integrity, results-orientation, managerial and administrative skills backed up by a demonstrable track record

Terms of Service:

2 years renewable

Contract Note

Applicants must also attach the following documents in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Kenyan Constitution:

Certificate of Good conduct from the Criminal Investigation Department (C.I.0).

A certificate from a recognized Credit Reference Bureau (C.R.B). Clearance from the Higher Education Loans Board (H.E.L.B).

Clearance certificates from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (E.A.CC). Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (K.R.A)

Minimum Qualifications

A university graduate with a degree in Civil, Water Engineering or related field.

Conversant with the GIS and AutoCAD systems. Demonstrate experience in project management.

A minimum of 5 years experience working in a technical position of an organization managing water and sewerage
