Job Description

The Group Finance - Strategy and Change team has an opportunity to join their team as a Test Manager. You'll take the lead in managing all aspects of testing within our team. From forecasting and demand planning to recruiting and allocating skilled testers, you'll be instrumental in ensuring a seamless testing process.

You'll play a crucial role in resource management, assisting in scoping and planning test efforts, and reviewing all relevant documentation.

The Test Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing testing strategies, managing test plans, and coordinating testing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.

Your responsibilities extend to overseeing quality control from System Integration Testing (SIT) to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and monitoring performance to regression. You'll be the key figure in analyzing and reporting on quality metrics, identifying trends and issues, and actively driving improvements. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our quality metric systems.

Key Result Areas

Testing Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement testing strategies, test plans, and test cases.

Team Leadership: Lead a team of testers to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.

Documentation Management: Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate testing activities with cross-functional teams, including development, project management, and business stakeholders.

Defect Identification and Resolution: Identify and track software defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.

Requirements Understanding: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product requirements and business processes.

Test Environment Management: Manage test environments and ensure they are maintained and available for testing activities.

Quality Assurance Implementation: Develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on testing progress, test coverage, and defect trends.

Leadership and Training: Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to testing team members.

Stay Current: Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software testing.

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications, Experience required

Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Engineering, or testing certifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, including 3 years in a leadership role

Experience with testing methodologies, test management tools, and automated testing frameworks

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall

Experience with test management tools, such as HP ALM, JIRA, or Quality Center

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong leadership and team management skills

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

The incumbent will have an added advantage if he/she has the set skills listed below:

Experience working on complex programme levels

High level understanding of Finance or experience with finance related projects/ programmes

Experience in complex application ecosystems
