Job Description

Fairbairn Consult (FC) is a fast growing RFA (non-tied financial advisory business) that is part of the Old Mutual Group. We are seeking two dynamic and experienced administrators to join our reputable and growing financial advisory business. The roles are for applicants with excellent communication and relationship building skills, who will engage both internal and external stakeholders, in the non-tied (broker) environment.

Responsibilities:

Ability to build relationships and engage the following key stakeholders:

A diverse group of advisers on various aspects of their practices

More than 100 product providers across life, non-life, investments etc (with knowledge of such providers)

Various other suppliers and outsourced functions

Daily operations:

Driving and owning the on-boarding process of new advisers

Driving and owning the off-boarding process of existing advisers

Contract management

Commission management

Drafting of reports when needed by FSCA or Management

Excellence in data feeds to various stakeholders

Strategic initiatives:

Participate in management engagements

Provide feedback on processes and progress on programs that the applicant own

Drive internal and legislative business functionalities

In addition, the candidate must

be able to actively participate in in-person conferences and marketing activities

Requirements:

Required skills:

NQF 5 – 6

Computer skills: Office 365 (including Power BI) and Xplan

RE5 is advantageous but not essential

Experience in the RFA (non-tied / broker) industry

Despite your relevant experience, you must be willing to learn

Data processing in various formats

Communication skills both email and verbal, with both internal and external stakeholders

Ability to function in a small team or on your own

Conflict resolution skills
