Job Summary and Description• Human Resource Manager is responsible for overall HR management of the Company. He/she plans, organizes, directs and controls all the issues related to organizational work force, fill open positions, recruits and selects the right people at the right place, organize and coordinate training and developments activities, manages outsourcing activities, make follow ups on medical insurance issues of the staff, create smooth environment on management employee relations, make follow-ups in employee benefits ,conducts timely and regular visit to different locations of the company and produce organized reports to his/her immediate supervisor. Generally, he/she represents the company in Human Resource Manager of the company is also assists the company in legal and statutory issues of the company, make follow ups in employee hiring, firing and termination issues are handled in accordance with relevant labor laws.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities• Manage compensation, benefits, and performance management systems and training and development programs of employees.
• Identify staff vacancies as per approved staff staffing plan and conduct interviews, recruit, and select applicants as per the company policies and in collaboration with other department management and plant management.
• Orient current prospective employees with information about the polices of the company, about the labor standards and issues related to company rules and regulations.
• Advice General Manager on overall organizational policy on overall labor issues.
• Reviews and studies compensation and benefits polices of the company to establish competitive programs with legal requirements.
• Design and develop workable company manuals related to labor, and other documents like employee incentive systems etc.
• Serve as link between management and employees by handling employee’s disputes and legal complaints to create smooth and conducive
work environment.
• Analyze and conduct training needs assessment in site plant and head office to provide training and development programs, coordinate training activities.
• Plane, directs, supervises and coordinates work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employees.
• Maintains computerized statistical HR records and profiles which enable to compile HR reports, regarding various data such as employee turnover, succession planning, performance appraisal and others.
• Designs and install employees attitude survey systems, which enables to evaluate periodically their performances.
• Plane, organizes, directs and coordinates the human resource development and labor relations activities in overall the company including the factory.
• Conducts exit interviews to identify reasons for employee resignation and terminations and provides feedbacks to the management in the form of report.
• Negotiate and bargain collective agreements with labor union representing the company.
• Study labor legislation and arbitration decision in collective bargaining labor dispute issues.
• Develops effective work and productivity and compliances reward systems relevant to the industry to motivate employees and management team.
• Performs other liaison issues which are not mentioned in this document and the list.
Qualifications/Skills Job RequirementsMBA/MA/BA in Human Resource Management, Business Management or Leadership and Management, minimum of 10/12 years relevant work experience in human resource Management activities in business companies, training in HRM and management area, excellent knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Laws and other related regulations.
