The Office of the Controller of Budget (OCOB) is a Constitutional Office established under Article 228 of the Constitution of Kenya to oversee and report on the implementation of the budgets of the National and County Governments to each House of Parliament every four months.
Pursuant to Article 252 (1) (c) of the Constitution, the Office seeks to recruit qualified and competent staff to fill the following vacant positions.
Reporting to the Senior Fiscal Analyst, the officer will be responsible for undertaking analysis and scrutiny of the National Government budgets.
Responsibilities
Monitor monthly budget implementation for the National Government
Verify supporting documents for withdrawal requests from public funds
Analyze monthly expenditure returns and prepares monthly budget summary reports
for the sectors including expenditure trends
Prepare quarterly, annual and special reports on budget implementation for the
legislature and the executive
Undertake macro and micro economic budget analyses
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics,
Accounting, Finance , Social Sciences or its relevant from a recognized institution
Must be well versed with the Constitution of Kenya
At least 2 years relevant work experience

Team player
Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act

Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation
Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
