Responsibilities

Contacting the contractors and other personnel needed and ensuring they are on-site at an appropriate time to avoid delay.

Preparing a daily report of operation and submitting it to the senior drilling completion rig supervisor.

Responsible for all factory acceptance testing to ensure that equipment is fit for usage before being shipped to the site.

Discover and promote new technologies for performance enhancement.

Managing personnel and equipment at the rig site.

Detecting and resolving any difficulty that threatens early execution.

Ensure efficient and secure drilling in adherence to the drilling specifications and company procedures.

Monitors the complete optimization of a well using optimum practices.

Ensures that all drilling and completion operations are done in accordance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) procedures.

Monitor the usage rate of materials at the rig site and report any need for restocking.

Report any significant problem, change or accident to the senior drilling completion supervisor.

Collaborate directly with suppliers to determine when equipment is ready for transportation to the site.

Participation in emergency drills especially in abandoned locations and all onshore planning for completion operation.

Participates in all work-related training and also trains junior members.

Ensures that all operations are properly understood before being commenced.

Qualifications

University degree in Engineering

15 years and above in

the relevant field

Must have a valid International Well Control Forum (IWCF) certificate

Valid BOSIET/HUET certificate

Valid Offshore medical certificate confirming fitness to work offshore.

Must be able to present a competence profile showing relevant experience in deepwater offshore rig

Round 1&2 Shell certificates or their equivalent

Proficiency in computer usage.
