About the RoleNova Pioneer believes an organization is only as good as the people who work for it. We know that in order to accomplish our mission and achieve our growth goals, we must attract, select, retain and grow the right people. The Recruitment Manager will play a key role in our ability to find and hire great people.
Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Recruitment & SelectionManage a portfolio of open positions across the organization.
Develop a thorough strategic plan for reaching all recruitment and hiring goals.
Liaise with school leaders and hiring manager to design and execute a year-long hiring plan.
Set up the processes and systems that enable efficient hiring for each role.
Refine pre-existing (and develop new) selection tools to ensure alignment between how we hire and what’s needed for each role.
Manage other team members to fulfill each step of the process.
Support Hiring Managers in making final hiring decisions
Outreach
Design and implement innovative ways to attract and source top talent to the organization.
Increase local and international awareness about Nova Pioneer and the career opportunities available.
Plan and host outreach events at school campuses and attend events hosted externally.
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and establish partnerships to expand reach.
About You
At least 3 years’ experience in recruitment, institutional e.g. school-based recruitment
You have a proven ability to build strong relationships across diverse audiences
You are extremely detail oriented and can manage a lot of moving parts at once
You strive for excellence in every detail of your work and inspire and challenge everyone around you to do the same
You take pleasure in excellence more than credit or status

yourself by taking risks and getting more feedback than you’ve ever gotten before
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent in a related field, required

Nova Academies is looking for superstar Early Learning School Teachers to fill 2018 vacancies in its Tatu City Primary School whose construction begins in April 2017.
We are seeking dynamic individuals who wants to empower students with a different learning approach using the Kenyan system. This is an opportunity to help create a transformative school model with the future of Africa’s youth at stake.
About the Role
We are hiring Primary School Teachers to oversee the daily learning for Primary school students within a teaching team. You will be required to participate in, and lead where appropriate, extra-curricular programmes in the school and assist in planning and organising of school events and functions (e.g. inter-house competitions, concerts, school plays, and award evenings.)
You will also:
Provide a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable.
Plan activities that meet the social, physical and emotional needs of the children
Develop scheme of work and lesson plans in line with the school curriculum
Schedule stimulating and learning activities for the children
Prepare teaching aids to facilitate children learning
Devise games and activities, and also provides playing equipment, and ensure the playing facilities and equipment are clean and safe
Supervise the children as they learn and play
Observe and evaluate each child’s progress and provide a written report to the Principal, other school leaders and parents.
Monitor and keep record/ reports of the children’s progress and development
Assimilate arriving children to the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them.
Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and policies and procedures to maintain order among students.
Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, visits by guests, or other experiential activities, and guide students in learning from those activities.
Assist in bus loading and unloading
Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
About You
You have a strong, demonstrated passion for education and young children
You have experience teaching early learners and exposure to montessori learning
You have strong classroom management skills.
You have an understanding of and passion for inquiry based, student-centered learning.
You have a team player mentality – enjoy working in teams and group problem solving.
You care deeply about personal growth.
You have a 1-2 years of teaching experience
You are a qualified (or qualifying) teacher with a ECDE and P1 diploma or a combination of both
You are licensed by the TSC
