North Coast Medical Training College Tutor in Health Service Support Jobs in Kenya
Tasks and ResponsibilityParticipate in the training and assessment of learning of Hospital service support students including:
Preparing and uploading lesson plans and related teaching, learning and assessment materials for assigned lessons.
Assist in planning and conducting lectures.
Planning and conducting tutorials
Planning and conducting Skills lab sessions
Assessing students’ performance
Mentor, guide and advice students in their learning and development of professional behaviour
Generally, participate in any other activities related tplanning, implementation and evaluation of teaching and learning for Hospital service support students in the college.
Contribute tother activities related tHospital service support including mentorship during their attachment period.
Participate in research with guidance of senior lecturers.
Guide and support mentors, tutors, interns, student facilitators and other junior staff supporting the learning of students.
Required Competencies
Competent professional with technical skills and up tdate knowledge ttrain students in field of Hospital service support.
Good team player
Interested in the development and support of young adults.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili both written and orally.
Competent oral and verbal communicator while working with individuals and teams.
Excellent
computer skills with good mastery of MS office applications
Required Education and Experience
A Diploma or higher diploma in relevant health profession field with a background of Health Service Support
2 years’ experience in training of health service support professionals
Registered with TVET as a trainer.
Added Advantages
Teaching experience
Certificate in health professions / medical education, or education in general
Certificate in Nursing aid/assistant or Home-based care.
Experience with mentoring adolescents
Experience with e-learning
