Nkafamiya Rescue Mission National Consultant on Monitoring & Evaluation Jobs in Nigeria

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Consultant to join our team on a short-term consultancy basis. The consultant will play a pivotal role in enhancing the capacity of our M&E team, guiding them in effective program implementation, activity tracking, reporting, and other M&E-related responsibilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with our M&E team to build their skills, improve processes, and ensure accurate and timely data collection and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert guidance and mentorship to the M&E team in program implementation, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

Assist in the development and refinement of M&E frameworks, tools, and indicators to monitor and evaluate project progress and impact.

Coach the M&E team in effectively tracking project activities, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.

Support the team in conducting regular field visits to validate data, assess program quality, and identify areas for improvement.

Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement surveys, assessments, and evaluations, and guide the team in analyzing the results.

Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance the M&E team's capacity in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Review and refine M&E reports, ensuring they provide clear insights into project performance and impact.

Advise on strategies to enhance data utilization for informed decision-making and learning within the organization.

Qualifications:

A master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., development studies, social sciences, statistics, etc.).

Proven experience in designing and implementing M&E systems for development projects or humanitarian initiatives.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to

translate data into actionable recommendations.

Excellent communication and mentoring skills, capable of effectively conveying technical concepts to team members with varying levels of expertise.

Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, Stata) and data visualization tools.

Familiarity with project management principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Prior experience in conducting M&E training and capacity-building activities is a plus.

Understanding of the social and humanitarian context in which Nkafamiya Rescue Mission operates.
