Nile Breweries Production Team Leader Jobs in Uganda
Key outputs and responsibilities:
1. Maintain a safe, healthy and risk free work environment
2. Ensure adherence safety, health and environmental legislation and procedures
3. Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
4. Facilitate Sustainable Development initiatives
Optimize production process and Performance
1. Develop production plan
2. Co-ordinate Autonomous Operations(ATO)
3. Monitor production processes
4. Communicate, interpret and implement production plan
5. Support the team to improve process quality, hygiene and productivity
Optimize team performance
1. Implement Target Setting and Cascading with in the team
2. Facilitate effective team dynamics (participative team meetings, one on one, team communication, team building, team maturity, respect /discipline, respect for code of conduct, team vision/mission, conflict handling, improve trust levels in the team)
3. Communicate effectively in the workplace (within team, & other internal/external customers/suppliers)
Ensure application of administration systems and procedures
1. Administer conditions of employment for team members
2. Prepare and control budgets around Overtime/duty allowance; acting allowance; leave allowance among others
3. Facilitate continuous improvement, team problem solving and decision making
4. Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles including situational problem solving-Problem identification, Problem definition, QFR application, 5 WHY, Loop closure
5. Participate in systemic problem solving (Loss and Waste, ABR and PDCA & ITFs)
6. Support the overall Maltings team initiatives and arrangements
Manage and Develop People
1. Develop employees through facilitating learning and development of team Members; SKAP
2. Manage and apply personnel processes in line with the company procedure
3. Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate between the employees and the company
4. Lead Maltings production activities in accordance with the VPO principles and Practices.

Education
1. Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering/ Food Science / Industrial Chemistry.
2. A Maltings related course will be an added advantage
Experience
1. At least 4 years experience in Maltings or related field at line management of which 2 years at leadership level
2. Understanding of process control within a Maltings/process environment
3. Good understanding of Maltings principles and good practice
