NFT Social Investment Assistant Jobs in Uganda
Main ResponsibilitiesThe job holder will be responsible for the following tasks;To implement, enhance, update monitor and evaluate the company’s Social Investment strategy by executing the programs such as access to water, access to health, total access to solar program and solidarity activities such as football in the operational area.
To identify and enhance other local economic development projects that may be developed in the operational area, foster partnerships and enhance spill-over effects related to the development of the project.
To monitor Social Investment expenditures, in line with the approved budget.
To ensure that all social investment activities and projects are archived and effectively tracked in the Social Management System for monitoring and future interventions.
To implement, enhance, update monitor and evaluate the Education strategy by executing the programs herein; to implement a communication plan for education & vocational training.
To monitor an education budget and make cost reduction recommendations where applicable.
To put into effect and follow up on the company scholarship program such as: Education and Vocational Training Action Plan, Total Professeurs Associes (TPA) Program, local scholarship program and remain in contact with Scholarships beneficiaries.
Furthermore; to participate in all sessions for selection of candidates and write necessary reports and monitoring tools.
Additionally, the job holder will implement, enhance, update monitor and evaluate the Awango total initiative by doing the following; to action a communication plan for Access to
energy; to monitor the budget and make cost reduction recommendations where applicable; to monitor, supervise and remain in contact with Solar officers; write necessary reports and monitoring tools weekly, quarterly and annually.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in social or environmental sciences, anthropology, land use & natural resources management, project management or equivalent
At least 4 years’ experience in community projects, development projects and/or in other similar area (NGOs, donors, State development funds) as well as good knowledge of the Ugandan education system.
Ability to maintain good relations with a wide range of local stakeholders, NGOs, donors, local authorities, local communities.
Ability to work in a team, take initiative, be highly organized and ability to meet deadlines.
Flexibility. The job requires most of the time to work after hours. Open Capacity to work in the field.
Excellent Computer skills (Word, Excel, and ppt)/ Good report writing and analytical skills.
