The associate’s primary mission is to support the Finance Officer of the school. You will play a vital role in ensuring the school's financial operations run smoothly, adhering to budgetary guidelines, and assisting in fee collection and exclusion of learners. Your dedication and attention to detail will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our School.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Data Entry: Accurately record financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts, into the accounting system.

Budget Monitoring: Assist in monitoring the school's budget and help identify discrepancies or areas where cost-saving measures can be implemented.

Expense Management: Verify and process expense claims, ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to process payments and resolve any billing inquiries or issues.

Financial Communication: Assist in communicating financial matters to relevant stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and parents, in a clear and professional manner.

Compliance and Regulation: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure the school's financial practices adhere to legal and ethical standards.

Financial Analysis: Contribute to financial analysis projects, helping to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Any other duties as may be

determined necessary

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications or ongoing professional development are advantageous.

Knowledge: Familiarity with basic accounting principles, financial terminology, and budgeting concepts.

Software Proficiency: Experience with financial software and tools, such as spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets), accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks), and databases.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions to support decision-making.

Attention to Detail: Demonstrated accuracy and precision in handling financial records and performing calculations.

Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders effectively.
