Job SummaryTo provide technical guidance and advice to Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer on IT matters and overall management of the IT department as well as supporting end users.

Risk Management
Ensure that the required reports for all Risk Management are developed and generated as and when required in liaison with other functional units.
Ensure that SLAs and AMC with all vendors are signed and enforced.
Ensure that all policy documents are updated and policies are implemented.
Ensure that Disaster Recovery options are in place, documented, and tested periodically.
Operational Activities
Review ICT Policies and procedures and align them to support the bank’s strategic objectives.
Ensure that Disaster Recovery Plans options are in place, documented, and tested periodically. Also, contribute to Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
Recommend Technical requirements and specifications for banking systems enhancement as well as new ones.
Evaluate and recommend optimal ICT Resources and capacity requirements for supporting and sustaining the bank’s operations.
ICT Budget control and monitoring.
Liaise with other unit heads to address ICT matters that may affect service delivery.
Coordinate the Installation, configuration, Maintenance, and administration of new and existing Production/Test Servers and other equipment comprising switches, routers, workstations, and other allied peripherals
Supervise, plan, coordinate, and direct the work of all employees under the jobholder.
Monitor and secure the operational processes on all ICT infrastructures. This includes capacity planning, performance monitoring, monitoring predefined logs, and taking proper and/or preventive action if necessary.
Handle day-to-day ICT problems related to the core banking, LAN/WAN, Operating Systems, and Infrastructure Malfunctions. For major malfunctions, initiate actions to get proper support from third parties.
Ensure
that all defined ICT policies, including security, virus prevention, Internet usage, etc, are strictly adhered to.
Maintenance of a Disaster and Recovery Procedure and Testing of the same at least twice annually.
Keep skills up-to-date by way of attending Training and Seminars as well as taking professional Certifications.
Provide guidance, transfer of skills, and delegate to those reporting to the jobholder.
Ensure regular preventive maintenance of live Servers, UPS, End User Computers, and other communication devices, etc are performed as per ICT Policy.
Coordinate the initiation and implementation of new ICT Projects.
Perform departmental and ICT staff performance appraisals.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Electronic or Master's Degree in Physics/Computer Management/Information Technology/Business Administration or IT-related Qualification.
Professional Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Sun Solaris Systems /Network/Security Administrator, Cisco Certification, etc are desirable.
At least, 4(Four) years of working experience in a Banking Environment in similar position.
Competencies
Working experience in LAN/WAN environment.
Working knowledge of UNIX and/or Oracle Administration, preferably on Sun Solaris Environment.
Good management skills of technical support staff.
Current Knowledge of Computer Hardware and Software trendy.
Knowledge and skill in basic computer programming, preferably using c/c++, java, Oracle tools (SQL*PLUS and PL/SQL) and UNIX Shell scripting.
Influential skills sufficient to motivate staff to achieve results.
Time management skills sufficient to work in a fast paced environment on broad range of activities.
Working knowledge of Human Resources policy and procedures.
Results oriented
Developed interactive skills sufficient to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Agile and Adaptable.
Leading others.
Good Analytical and systematic thinking.
Liaising with vendors for quotations and supply of equipment and service delivery.
