Job Overview: A company providing internet services to commercial and residential customers is looking to hire a Network Engineer who is well versed with Mikrotik routers configuration.
Responsibilities
Configuring Network Infrastructure Devices like switches, routers, firewalls, servers etc.
Hardening Network Infrastructure Devices like switches, routers, firewalls, servers etc.
Determine how much bandwidth is required for smooth operation of the organization’s network.
Provision the connection and internal network devices to meet those requirements.
Conduct analysis to make the network more reliable.
Provide project and maintenance for customers Enterprise IT Network Services.
Work closely with Project Manager / Service Delivery Manager to fulfil project deliverables and operational requests.
Good knowledge and hands on experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN
Good experience and knowledge of Mikrotik routers configuration.
Break-fix for network services maintained which include troubleshooting and problem identification.
Preventive maintenance / security vulnerability assessment on customers’ network devices.
Documentation skills to include creating and updating detailed environment design, installation, support and preventive maintenance documentation.
Develop test cases and conduct proof
of concept tests on new software and hardware prior to upgrade/deployment.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
Experience with router networking and configuration, maintenance support and break-fix.
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Strong customer service orientation
Salary will be commensurate with experience
