The officer at this level will report functionally to the Board through the Audit

Committee and administratively to the CEO. He/she will be responsible for systems
auditing, protection and safeguarding NETFUND’s assets (financial, human and capital
resources). This entails providing independent assurance that processes of internal
control, risk management and governance are effective.

In addition he/she will be the
liaison officer with External Auditors to ensure good corporate governance and
compliance with various laws and regulations impacting on the Fund’s operations.

NetFund Internal Audit Manager Jobs in Kenya

Job Description

He/she will be the Secretary to the Audit Committee of the Board;

Promote good corporate governance and compliance with various laws and
regulations impacting on NETFUND’s operations;

Develop audit, risk management and other related policies and strategies ensuring
their implementation;

Develop, document and implement sound audit management systems in accordance
with International Auditing standards;

Coordinate the pre-auditing of payments documents to confirm compliance with set
internal controls;

Undertake annual audit planning and ensure its implementation;

Check on budgetary controls to ensure compliance with the set budget and work
plans;

Liaise with the External Auditors;

Coordinate responses to Management Letters from the external auditors;

Coordinate special audit investigations as may be required from time to time;

Coordinate on risk management processes and ensure implementation of risk
Management guidelines;

Interpret the Fund’s policies for sound governance;

Oversee the training and development of staff in the Internal Audit Unit.

Job Specifications

Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Accounting/Finance option) or its
equivalent from a recognized institution;

Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field;

Professional Accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA) or equivalent from a
recognized

Institution;

Professional Auditing qualification (CIA, CISA) or equivalent from a recognized Institution;

Registered member of the Institute of Internal Auditors or Certified Public
Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or its equivalent;

A Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a reputable Institution;

Served for a minimum period of eight (8) years, three (3) of which must be in
senior position as an internal auditor;

Proficiency in Computerized Accounting/ Audit software;

Demonstrate a clear understanding of the Kenya Vision 2030 and related development goals;

Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity.
