About the Role

Import/Export Specialist - Nestlé East and Southern Africa

Location: Kenya

Position Type: Permanent

Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager

Minimum Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics

Minimum Relevant Work Experience: 2-3 years' experience in related field

We are currently looking to hire an Import/Export Specialist for the East and Southern Africa region to join our team in Kenya.

Main Purpose

Ensure outstanding delivery service on Import and Export Operations.

A Day in the Life of an Import/Export Specialist:

Deliver agreed targets on service agreements with businesses & clearing service agents

Deliver best quality service through establishment of import/export documentation in full and on time.

Coordinate execution of the Imports/Exports related activities (customs clearance, road & sea international transportation booking, etc.) be it outsourced or in-house.

Review and maintain general shipping instructions with markets at

all times.

Generating Import/Export documents and management of end-to-end processes.

Liaising with regulatory bodies and government authorities, government agencies, shipping lines, clearing agents and customer shipping teams.

Liaise internally with finance department and distribution centers to ensure smooth process flow.

What Will Make You Successful?

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain/Logistics.

2-3 years' experience in Imports/Exports, Customs, Clearing and Freight forwarding.

Demonstrable verbal, written, communication skills and experience interacting with Suppliers, Senior management, Third party service providers and External Authorities.

SAP knowledge is essential.

Clearing and forwarding agencies experience advantageous
