NEMA Senior Legal Officer - Civil Litigation and Advisory Service Jobs in Uganda



Main Purpose of the Job
  • To spearhead management of the Civil Litigation and Advisory Services

    Duties and Responsibilities
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of Work Plans, Budgets
    and prepare timely reports for the unit
  • Develop and implement a robust Monitoring and Evaluation framework for
    NEMA
  • Periodically Monitor and Evaluate Performance of the Strategic Plan,
    Annual Work Plans and Projects
  • Develop performance indicators for NEMA including establishment and
    reviewing of monitoring and evaluation system;
  • Mobilize resources for Monitoring and Evaluation programs
  • Support research and innovations
  • Collaborate with other departments and units in the delivery of monitoring
    and evaluation function
  • Build capacity of NEMA staff in monitoring and evaluation
  • Prepare statutory performance reports timely
  • Supervise and appraise staff in the unit
  • Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the supervisor

    Qualifications
  • An Honors Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University; Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice
  • A Master’s Degree in Law
  • Be enrolled as an advocate of the High Court of Uganda.
  • Possess a valid practicing certificate, except if working in a government
    institution

    Experience
  • Should have at least a minimum of six (6) years post qualification professional
    relevant working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation three of which should
    have been at senior level in a reputable institution.
