NEMA Registry Officer Jobs in Uganda
Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain and update registry, records and archives policy, database,
manual and other systems;
Supervise the maintenance of active and semi-active records following the
retention schedule and provenience standard;
Receive and classify documents and other records and maintain an inventory
of records users;
Develop a file retrieval and tracking system;
Create and close files, replace old files and update registers in line with the
filing procedures and the records manual.
Maintain a schedule for and carry out file weeding as well as transfer record
for archiving;
Monitor receipt, classification schemes and the dispatch of mail to respective
destinations; and
Perform any other duties as may be assigned.
Person Specifications
Qualifications:
An honors Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of Library and Information Science, Records and Archives Management
Competences and Skills:
Ability to work as a team;
High level of integrity;
Interpersonal skills and communication skills;
Reporting skills;
Timelines and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
Computer literacy.
