Job Purpose

To manage the daily administrative functions required to facilitate the clearing of exchange traded derivatives. This requires operations management acumen, ensuring processes and controls are maintained while providing exceptional service delivery to clients, auditors and the JSE.

Job Responsibilities

Monitor daily movements on the suspense account and performing a reconciliation.

Ensuring accurate daily settlement instructions are sent to the finance department.

Investigating and resolving client queries and disputes.

Validating End-of-Day balancing to the JSE and running report generation processes.

Running monthly interest reports and settlements, validating settlement amounts and control sheet completion.

Ensuring clients receive daily and monthly email reports timeously.

Maintaining existing controls and implementing revised controls where required, to mitigate operational and reputational risk to Nedbank.

Keeping process documents for the department updated on a regular basis.

Ensuring compliance to all relevant policies and procedures are always adhered to.

Maintaining client and auditor trust through service excellence, timeous delivery, and brand alignment.

Participating in system projects including the testing and sign-off of system upgrades.

Looking for opportunities to digitize and automate processes.

Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

Preferred Qualification

• Post Graduate Commerce Qualification in Finance, Investment Management or

Business Management; or

• Financial Industry related qualification for example South Africa's Central Securities Depository (STRATE) or Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) compliance and settlement examinations.

Minimum Experience Level

1 - 5 years’ experience in derivative clearing or finance operations.

Minimum of 2 years' experience with the following systems:

Global Clearing Management System (GCMS) experience

NUTRON system experience.

Conflict management experience.

Working under pressure.
