Job Purpose

  • LTo manage the delivery of effective and efficient Internal medicine services by the hospital..

    Key Functions

  • Planning and budgeting for Internal Medicine programs.

  • Diagnosing and treating patients.

  • Referring patients.

  • Monitoring and evaluation of programs.

  • Developing and implementing continuous professional development programs.

  • Supervising, coaching, mentoring and appraising staff.

  • Training and mentoring staff and students.

  • Initiating and carrying out research activities.

  • Enforcing adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics.

  • Accounting for the allocated resources.

  • Compiling and submitting periodic reports.
    Person Specifications

    Academic and Professional Qequirements

  • Must have MBChB or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.

  • Must have a Master of Medicine Degree in Internal Medicine or its equivalent.

  • Must be registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.

  • Must have a valid practicing License.
