Job Purpose Statement

Enterprise Data Management ("EDM") is a process that seeks to ensure Data in NCBA Group PLC
is accurate and consistent to meet the strategic and business goals. "EDM" has eight key capabilities i) Data Architecture (DA); ii) Data retention & archiving (DRA); iii) Data quality
management (DQM); iv) Metadata management ("MM"); v) Master data Management (MDM); vi) Data privacy & security (DPS) vii) Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) and viii) Data governance.

The Senior BI Developer will oversee the BI team to deliver reporting and dashboard solutions that
meet the needs of the organization. The role holder must demonstrate accountability, flexibility and adaptability to handle different stakeholders, multiple and changing reporting priorities and be able to successfully collaborate with all key stakeholders.

The Senior BI Developer is Responsible for the Following:

Lead BI Developers and oversee their development work, ensuring the data presented is
accurate and meets visualization best practices.

Ensure design of new and/or customization of reports and dashboards that effectively meet the needs of different audiences.

Put in place process improvement measures that will lead to elimination of manual reports generation across the group.

Manage and support migration of configurations and report objects from development to production environments

Ensure proper data governance and data quality across all reports and dashboards developments

Collaborate and mentor team members on methodology, design and architecture best
practices.

Ensure optimal end user performance by establishing and consistently executing

overall
system performance assessment.

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Software Engineering, Engineering, Machine Learning,
Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.

Desired Work Experience:

Minimum 6 years’ experience in data analysis and reporting with a proven record of accomplishment. Must demonstrate experience in supporting top management executives with reports and dashboards.

Strong experience in designing senior executive dashboards to track, analyze and report
on key performance indicators and other metrics.

Very strong analytical, presentation & problem-solving skills with the ability to work confidently on high priority problems and present technical ideas in a user-friendly language.

Strong knowledge and experience with data visualization tools (SAP BI, OBIEE, Admin tool,
Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, click view) is a must have.

Expertise in Data Warehouse, ETL, Cube and Report design and development

Technical expertise regarding warehouse design, dimensional modelling and data mining techniques.

Working knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL server)
