Job Purpose Statement

Enterprise Data Management ("EDM") is a process that seeks to ensure Data in NCBA Group PLC
is accurate and consistent to meet the strategic and business goals. "EDM" has eight key capabilities i) Data Architecture (DA); ii) Data retention & archiving (DRA); iii) Data quality
management (DQM); iv) Metadata management ("MM"); v) Master data Management (MDM); vi) Data privacy & security (DPS) vii) Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) and viii) Data governance.

The BI Developer works collaboratively with end users to develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making.

The BI Developer is Responsible for the Following:

Detailed analysis, design and development of business intelligence systems, dashboards and reports.

Using warehouse data and other data sources to solve organizational problems through reports, analysis and data visualization.

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets as well as interpret
the data and analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.

Analyze business/use case requirements to determine operational problems, define data
modeling requirements, gather and validate information, apply judgment and statistical
tests and develop data structures to support the generation of business insights and strategy.

Make changes to system configuration and parameters to accommodate business and technological requirements.

Develop and maintain documentation/manuals on system configuration or setup.

Carry-out analysis of requirements and recommend solutions to address user requirements as well as attend to systems/solution failures and resolve or coordinate the resolution of the problem.

Understand Key Performance Measures and Indicators that

drive company performance
measurement, reporting, and analytics across functions and understand how these metrics and measures align and track against overall business strategies, goals and objectives.

Strict adherence to all regulations, statutes, standards, practices and all internal processes
and procedures as per the relevant manuals and comply with all relevant external legislation and regulations with regard to Compliance requirements.

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related degree from a recognized university

Desired Work Experience:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in data analysis and reporting and dashboard design.

• Should have analytical, presentation & problem-solving skills

• Technical expertise in dimensional modelling and report design techniques.

• Strong knowledge and experience with data visualization tools (SAP BI, OBIEE, Admin tool,
Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, click view) is a must have.

• Experience with ETL tools (SAP Data Services, Oracle ODI, Miscrosoft SSIS, Talend), query languages(Oracle PL/SQL, SQL)

• Working knowledge of databases (Oracle, SQL server)
