Job Purpose StatementThe primary mandate of this role is to provide vital support to the LOOP’s Ecosystems Head and CCO's office in driving Ecosystem Strategy development and execution, sales enhancement and management, portfolio and market analysis, and performance oversight. Additionally, this position plays a pivotal role in project management, ensuring the efficient and timely implementation of strategic initiatives within the Ecosystem Business Unit.
This role is specifically focused on ensuring that all ongoing activities are in alignment with LOOP's overarching strategic goals and budgetary objectives. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, it involves guiding the strategic direction, expanding the business by facilitating the execution of key initiatives identified by Ecosystem Head. This encompasses developing Ecosystem target markets that are in line with LOOP's capital allocation, revenue and balance sheet targets and facilitate the development of different strategies for growth and increased profitability at Ecosystem level.
This position also provides direct assistance to the Ecosystem Team, generating analytical reports that offer valuable insights for business analysis and performance assessment. This encompasses the meticulous examination of cash flows and financial statements to create concise reports, constructing financial models, and preparing forecasting tools for financial projections.
Moreover, in collaboration with other analysis units across LDFS Group, this role contributes to the preparation of ad hoc analysis for change projects, facilitating informed decision-making processes.
Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)FinancialThis position is responsible for supporting the
achievement of Ecosystem’s financial returns through
facilitation of budgets and targets, tracking, and
monitoring the achievement thereof.
Analytics and Reports Management
Coordinate, facilitate & review data, insightful
and timely reports that can be used to make
appropriate decisions.
Facilitate budgeting, target setting and
cascading.
Analysis of business case’s financials for
ecosystem partners.
Strategic
This position is responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners to develop and oversee implementation of Ecosystem strategies that result in growth and return on value in line with shareholder expectations. This includes providing insightful feedback on products and solutions that help in the customization and development of new
products/solutions.
Strategy, Change and Execution
Act as lead strategy definition and
implementation coordinator,
Preparation of new ecosystem business
models and financials formulation
Track and monitor implementation,
Prepare strategy and business review & update
reports.
Work to drive faster adoption and proficiency
with the changes and initiatives that seek to
align business to strategic vision.
Project Management
Manage implementation of Ecosystem Business unit
strategies.
Processes & Procedures
The role holder will take on the crucial responsibility of designing and refining Ecosystem processes and procedures which will be instrumental in establishing effective workflows and protocols.
Additionally, the role holder is also responsible for monitoring adherance to approved policies and
procedures, ensuring that they remain aligned with
industry standards and best practices.
Customer Experience
This position is responsible for driving customer
satisfaction through providing insightful analysis and reports to the department that help drive great
experiences for LOOP Ecosystem partners.
Learning and growth
Delivering the performance objectives set and
managing his/her own learning and development to
build capacity and avail him/herself for coaching and
training opportunities.
Level of own development plan maintenance.
Own competency score.
The position is based in an office environment but allows for remote working. The position holder may work outside the office environment;
in the field visiting clients, meeting with industry stakeholders, making presentations in various forums, etc.
Key Responsibilities Performance Measurement Criteria
Financial, strategy and business management
Facilitate the setting of annual targets in
line with ecosystem business plans & ensure all these are cascaded and understood by Ecosystem Leads.
Facilitate strategy and industry initiatives
development in line with Budgets and Capital Allocation, implementation and tracking of Ecosystem strategic plans.
Facilitate effective communication and
coordination within the business unit and with other departments to ensure quick problem resolution in an effective and efficient manner.
Actively engage with the relevant stakeholders to ensure measurement is continuously improved and maintained in line with the strategic intent of the Ecosystem function.
Balance Sheet and Revenue targets as will
be defined for the Ecosystem Team and specific ecosystem leads.
Growth in market share.
Prompt exit from non-profitable
Ecosystems/ partners.
Risk Mitigation, Compliance & Audit
100% adherence to policies,
procedures and statutory guidelines.
Minimise exposure to platform risks,
enforce zero tolerance to noncompliance with KBA, CBK guidelines as well as all KYC, AML and data protection regulations.
Lead the process and confirm closure
of gaps/lapses identified by audit, risk and compliance reviews.
Implement corrective and
preventative actions for the ecosystem
100% adherence to policies,
procedures and statutory guidelines.
Audit, Compliance and Risk Rating =
Satisfactory.
Audit issues closed within the quarter of
identification, or within the agreed time frames, whichever is shorter.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Measurement Criteria unit; conduct investigations and/ or other assessment mechanisms within the agreed time frame.
Reporting
Coordinate comprehensive reporting
to Head of Ecosystems and CCO
Prepare and submit reports to the
relevant stakeholders within agreed format and timelines (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
Present reports that facilitate informed
and sound decision making. Trends, insights and concerns with recommendations clearly elaborated.
Timely, accurate, relevant dashboards
/ reports presented in the agreed format, circulated to respective audiences.
Qualifications
Academic
Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Economics, Finance, actuarial science, statistics, computer science or related field from a recognized accredited university.
Desirable
Post Graduate degree or progressive educational certificate in data analytics, statistics, or a
related field will be an added advantage.
Experience
At least five (5) years' relevant work experience with specific experience in:
Business performance analytics, Data analytics, financial analytics and reporting
Credit analysis skills in SME or Corporate Banking units
Financial analysis skills for Corporate or SME businesses.
Relational databases such as Oracle, SQL queries
Building relationships, networks & managing teams
Project management
Data and financial analytics in mobile money payments or lending platform support.
Risk management
Planning and managing numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication, collaboration and delegation skills.
Effective prioritization skills to meet a complex set of business demands and demonstrate
delivery against multiple objectives.
