Purpose:

Under primary Manager, the incumbent is responsible for production of multitude of brands in compliance with production plan with high efficiency and low reject rate. He/She leads his/her subordinates in order to meet set production targets (KPI’s and other internal targets) in line with given directions and EHS guidelines.

Coordinates Maintenance and Improvement activities with Maintenance team, Engineering Department and Quality Department. He/She mange, decides and control the shift activities on behalf of the manger during late and night shifts.

Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensures the efficient use of production facilities and resources (employees, machines and materials) to fulfill production targets for the production of tobacco leaf that meet the requirements of regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of raw material;

  • Timely makes the necessary decisions within own competence regarding the production process.

  • Carries out a rational arrangement and reasonable use of production personnel to ensure maximum efficiency of the technological process, the quality of products and the safety of workers; Responsible for all manufacturing and quality KPI’s in supervised department.

  • Conducts planned inventories of fixed assets of the production workshop.

  • Participates in the conduct of attestations, qualification exams, accrual of bonuses and bonuses, reductions and expansion of the production department employees. Provides recommendations to his/her immediate supervisor on the promotion of distinguished employees, the imposition of disciplinary sanctions and the removal of disciplinary sanctions; Carries out the selection of cadres of workers in conjunction with representatives of the People and Culture department. Determines the need for workers in the production department for training and advanced training.

  • Organizes meetings on issues related to the production process. Participates in production meetings held at the level of heads of factory departments.

  • Supports subordinates in the performance of their duties and ensures that they receive proper instructions, training, necessary information and developmental opportunities, and also evaluates their work.

  • Performs other tasks of the immediate supervisor within the framework of the work process and within the limits of his competence.

  • Reporting the daily production status to the respective bodies.

  • Observes and ensures compliance by the personnel of the production shopfloor and other workers on the territory of the production shopfloor:

  • Acts of the employer.

  • Internal working procedures and work schedules.

  • Work discipline, rules and norms of labor protection, safety measures and industrial sanitation.

  • Knows the health and safety requirements established by the legislation and the employer, applicable to his/her unit, job function or process, and ensures their compliance.

  • Ensures that employees know and implement the appropriate
    control measures necessary to maintain a healthy and safe working environment for subordinate employees.

  • Ensures the development of safety measures, as well as the passage by employees of the appropriate types of training and obtaining the qualifications necessary for the safe performance of work.

  • Demonstrates leadership in occupational health and safety, maintains a positive occupational safety culture, actively demonstrates commitment to occupational health and safety, sets personal examples and takes action to continually improve occupational health and safety performance.

  • Observes and monitors the observance of fire safety instructions by subordinate employees, labor regulations. Organizes and maintains his workplace in accordance with the requirements of 5S3R, rules and instructions for labor protection, safety, industrial sanitation and fire safety.

  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manger’s request.

    Job Requirements

    Education:

  • BSC Degree in Production or in related fields.

    Work Experience:

  • 4 years of relevant work experience with proven managerial skills experience.

    Special Knowledge:

  • Technological process of production and packaging of cigarette leaf.

  • Production facilities, technical characteristics of equipment, design features.
    rules of operation and repair of production equipment.

  • Regulatory and technical requirements for the quality of raw materials and finished products, methods of controlling the quality parameters of products.

  • Organization of technical maintenance team and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Principles of production planning.

  • Principles of effective team leadership aimed at achieving the set goals.

  • Skills of planning and management.

  • Methods of personnel management and motivation.

  • Basics of ethics and rules of business communication.

  • Principles of organization of labor and workplaces.

  • Fundamentals of financial and economic activities of the enterprise.

  • The organizational structure of the factory and the company as a whole.

  • Fundamentals of labor legislation.

  • Current regulations on remuneration and forms of material incentives;

  • Procedure for working with applied computer programs used in the profile of work;

  • Knowledge of Collective Labor Agreement, Internal Regulations and Safety Policies of the company.
