National Research Fund Supply Chain Management Officer Jobs in Kenya

The National Research Fund (NRF) is a State Corporation established under section 32 of the Science, Technology and Innovation Act No. 28 of 2013 with the objective to facilitate Research for the advancement of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Agency seeks to recruit qualified, competent, dynamic, proactive, innovative and highly committed staff to fill the position of Supply Chain Management Officer.

Job Specification

This is the entry position for graduates. An Officer at this level will work under Supervision of a Senior Officer.

The duties and responsibilities entail Assisting in: –

Processing of purchase requisition;

Carrying out procurement of Air tickets and follow–up on the same;

Preparing Local Purchase Orders/Local Service orders for timely authorization and dispatch to suppliers;

Assisting users in preparing specifications;
Inviting quotations;

Participating in tender opening and evaluation;

Carrying out market surveys and research;

Participating in quotation opening and evaluation;

Processing of purchase orders;

Participating in inspection and acceptance of goods and services; and

Receiving of stores and taking them on charge.

Requirement

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: –

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: — Procurement and Supply Chain Management; Purchasing and Supplies Management. Supply Chain Management; Procurement and Contract Management; Logistics and Supply Management; Procurement and Logistics Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Proficiency in Computer;

Good communication skills, and

Meets the provisions of chapter six of the constitution;
