National Police Service Commission Records Management Officer I & II Employment Opportunities


Responsibilities

  • Accurately record, file and distribute all inward and outward correspondence to the relevant officers;
  • Accurately store, arrange, index and classify records to for easy references
    and access of information;
  • Assist in the development of filing systems and maintain both electronic
    and paper-based files in the commission;
  • Set up, maintain, review and document of records systems;
  • Assist in the preparation of reports on files for disposal;
  • Assist staff with requests to locate and retrieve documents that had been archived;
  • Repair torn files to ensure order and safeguard all commission documents;
  • Record all mails and files received in the unit before submission to the
    relevant departments.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science/ Records Management /Library
    science or its equivalent from a recognized NPSC;
  • Higher diploma in Records Management/Information Science/ Library
    Science;
  • Computer Literacy;
  • Meet the requirements of chapter Six of the constitution of Kenya;
  • Four (4) years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization.

    National Police Service Commission Records Accountant I & II Employment Opportunities

    Responsibilities

  • Implement standards, regulations and procedures by executing the day to
    day operations of the unit;
  • Facilitate proper office cash management by authorizing invoices before payments vouchers are prepared;
  • Facilitate safe keeping of all accountable documents;
  • Approve internet banking;
  • Ensure supplier definition, invoice and Validate payments in the IFMIS system to maintain compliance of procedures;
  • Prepare and examine payments and revenue receipts;
  • Check validity of tax compliance certificates online via TCC checker;
  • Maintain income and expenditure records to keep track of documents and Manage ledger to maintain proper Accounts book keeping.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K)or CPA part II;
  • Computer literacy;
  • Meets the requirement of Chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya;
  • Four (4) years of service in a comparable position from a reputable organization

    National Police Service Commission Accountant I & II Employment Opportunities

    Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating investigation activities;
  • Allocating investigation functions to individual team members and monitoring performance;
  • Assessing and prioritizing team workloads;
  • Supervising and coordinating available resources against workloads, managing team functions including cases from reception to final report writing, ensuring efficient workload;
  • Overseeing the day to day tasks and performance of the team members,
    coaching and mentoring team members, and identifying individual and collective training needs;
  • Gathering and presenting regular accurate updates to Director of Strategy, Research and Vetting;
  • Providing guidance and advice to team members on investigations function;
  • Auditing investigations files to ensure adherence to NPSC standards;
  • Liaising with other internal departments on investigations issues, external
    agencies such as ODPP, Judiciary and other actors in criminal justice
    administration;
  • Ensuring compliance with directorate objectives, policies, procedures,
    annual work plan and strategic plan;

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Criminology, Criminal Justice, Law, Social Sciences or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
  • Shown merit, integrity and ability as reflected in work performance and

  • Strong managerial skills, including motivating, developing, coaching and
    leading teams;
  • Training in senior management course lasting not less than three (3)
    weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
  • Training in Fraud/ financial investigations;
  • Knowledge and appreciation of ICT and modern Technology in investigation;
  • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya;
  • Ten (10) years experience in criminal investigations of which three(3)
    years should be at a senior position in a comparative position in public service or private sector.

    National Police Service Commission Investigator I & II Employment Opportunities

    Responsibilities

  • Carryout investigations on all cases of complaints received on the police
    officers that are being vetted as directed by the Head of investigation;
  • Compile and submit report(s) on all investigated cases allocated to
    him/her by the Head of Investigation;
