1. NITA Director Finance and Levy Administration Jobs in Kenya - (Grade 13) – HRA/DFLA/01/2017 - 1 Post
Reporting to the Director General, the job holder will be responsible for developing policies and procedures on Industrial Training Levy & Financial Management and efficient, effective and sustainable engagement and utilization of the Authority’s financial resources by putting in place sound financial management systems.
The job holder will also be responsible for:Providing guidance and advice to staff of the Directorate and the Authority in general on realization of National Industrial Training objectives and liaising
with the Finance and Levy Administration committee of the Board on financial matters.
Interpreting and Implementing of all financial policies, rules and regulations;
Managing of the Financial and Levy Management System;
Approving of the final accounts and statements;
Setting of targets for the accounting staff;
Approving of Budgets;
Proposing any necessary modification to all the financial policies and give feedback to the Director General;
Checking conformity and justification of documents supporting payments;
The successful candidate must:
Have a Master’s degree in either MBA-Finance or Accounting option, MSc. Finance or Accounting option or any other related field from a recognized institution;
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or Business Management specializing in Finance or Accounting or any other related field from a recognized institution;
Have attained full accounting qualifications (CPA (final),ACCA) or equivalent qualification;
Have at least fifteen (15) years’ relevant work experience five (5) of which must be in a Senior Management level. The fifteen (15) years relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization will be an added advantage;
Have a Management/Leadership course lasting not less than six (6) weeks from a recognized Institution;
Have attended a Senior Financial Management course lasting at least four (4) weeks from a recognized Institution;
Be proficient in Financial management based computer application skills;
Be a registered member of ICPAK in good standing;
Have demonstrated a high degree in work ethics and competencies.

2. NITA Chief Accountant Jobs in Kenya - (Grade 11) – 2 Posts
Reporting to the Manager Finance, the job holder will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of sound financial management and control systems in the Authority while ensuring compliance with the International Financial Rules and Regulation.
The job holder will also be responsible for:
Ensuring supplier and customer accounts are reconciled on monthly basis;
Ensuring proper Management of cash through implementation of controls;
Reviewing bank reconciliations on weekly basis;
Ensuring tax compliance in all operations;
Preparing annual statutory accounts and manage statutory audits as well as implement the agreed upon internal audit recommendations;
Analyzing customer credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risks involved;
Maintaining book of debtors, debt accounts and monitor payments and update records and periodically reconcile their accounts;
Reviewing individual or commercial customer files to identify and select delinquent accounts for collection and advising Management on creditors that need to be written off as bad debts and or deal with liquidators and collection agencies;
Evaluating
customer records and recommend payment plans based on earnings, savings data, payment history and purchase activity
The successful candidate must:

Be proficient in Financial management based computer application skills;
Be a registered member of ICPAK in good standing;

Organizing and Managing of the accounting section;
Managing of accounting methods and financial returns;
Advising on financial policies as well ensuring that sound accounting principles are applied to all financial transactions in the Authority;

Training and development of accounting staff under him.
