7. NITA Accountant Jobs in Kenya - (Grade 9)-HRA/DFLA/08/2017– 2 Post

Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the job holder will be responsible for:

Day-to-day operation in the accounting unit;

Dealing with all accounting procedures and routine matters effectively;

Performing Management accounting;

Preparing of final accounts and statements;

Collecting and compiling data for budgeting purposes;

Bank reconciliation;

Examining of accounts for purpose of payments;

Updating of debtors and creditors accounts;

Mentoring and coaching of staff.

The successful candidate must:

Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or Business Management specializing in Finance or Accounting or any other related field from a recognized institution;

Have attained full accounting qualifications (CPA (final),ACCA) or equivalent qualification;

Have at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience. The three (3) years relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization will be an added advantage;

Be proficient in Financial management based computer application skills;

Be a registered member of ICPAK in good standing;

Have demonstrated a high degree in work ethics and competencies.

Performing basic range of Management accounting

Assisting in preparation of final accounts and statements;

Collecting and compiling data for budgeting purposes;

General supervision of accounts staff including their training and development.

The successful candidate must:

Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, or Business Management specializing in Finance or Accounting or any other related field from a recognized institution;

Have attained full accounting qualifications (CPA (final),ACCA) or equivalent qualification;

Have at least three (3) years’ relevant work experience. The three (3) years relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization will be an added advantage;

Be proficient in Financial management based computer application skills;

9. NITA Account Assistant I Jobs in Kenya - (Grade 7)-HRA/DFLA/10/2017– 5 Posts

Reporting to the Accountant II, the job holder will be responsible for:

Preparing and verifying vouchers in accordance with laid down rules and regulations

Balancing the cash book

Maintaining imprest ledger;

Bank reconciliation;

Assisting in preparation of cost and management reports and records;

Preparing customer statements and dispatch them to the location;

Receiving, authenticating and posting cheques and banking slips;

Reconciling creditor’s accounts;

The successful candidate must:

Be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA II) or equivalent ;

Have at least two (2) years’ relevant work experience. The two (2) years relevant work experience in a State Owned Organization will be an added advantage;

Be proficient in computer applications

Have demonstrated professional competence and administrative ability
