Job Specification:

[Duties and Responsibilities will entail;

Implementing and reviewing policies, strategies, procedures and standards on physical planning and land survey;

Collecting, analyzing site, geographical data and preparing physical development plans to guide housing schemes;

Preparing land use plans and obtaining change of user as required;

Providing information for feasibility study and planning of housing and infrastructure projects;

Supervising outsourced consultants such as Land Surveyors and Physical Planners to ensure implementation of their services to specifications;

Undertaking research on physical planning and urbanization;

Ensuring custody of physical planning records;

Person Specification:

At least eight (8) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in a supervisory role;

Bachelors Degree in Planning, Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR Bachelors Degree in relevant field and Post Graduate diploma in Planning, Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Masters Degree Planning, Physical Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

Member of the Kenya

Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town Planning Chapter) or any other recognized professional body in good standing and where applicable;

Registered by the Physical Planners Registration Board applicable;

Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from recognized institution;

Proficiency in computer applications; and

Fulfills the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution.
