The National Cohesion and Integration Commission was established to facilitate and promote equality of opportunity, good relations, harmony and peaceful co-existence between persons of different ethnic and racial communities of Kenya and to advise the Government on all aspects thereof.
The Commission intends to recruit a highly professional self-driven individual to fill the following vacant position:
National Cohesion and Integration Commission Internal Auditor Job VacanciesReporting to: Commission Secretary / CEO
Overall Job SummaryThe Senior Internal Auditor will be expected to evaluate risk, assess compliance with internal control systems and prepare internal audit reports.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesContinually evaluate the Commission’s internal control system, governance processes and risk management to ensure they are appropriate.
Report risk management issues and identified internal controls deficiencies and provide recommendations for improving the organization’s operations, in terms of both efficiency and effectiveness.
Prepare periodic / timely internal audit reports that identify control gaps and recommendations for improvement.
Evaluate compliance to laws, regulations, policies, procedures or any other service level agreements that may be in place.
Participate as appropriate during the annual financial audit of the Commission by the external auditors or the project auditors and teams with other internal and external resources as appropriate.
Maintain open communication with management and follow up on agreed audit issues to ensure they are implemented.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting Option.
Certified Public Accountant ( C.P.A.(K) or A.C.C.A )
MBA finance / Accounts / Risk management will
be an added advantage
Minimum of five (5 ) years’ experience in audit and risk management
Membership to a professional body
Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Public Sector Accounting Standards ( IPSAS )
Computer literacy Ms Office, knowledge of any financial / Accounting soft - wares will be an added advantage.
Strong work ethics with a strong sense of integrity in leadership and management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

a.) Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
b.) Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
c.) Ethics and Anti-corruption clearance certificate
d.) Clearance certificate from Higher Educations Loans Board
