Introduction
The National AIDS Control Council (NACC) is a state Corporation whose mission is to provide policy and strategic framework for mobilizing and coordinating resources for the prevention of HIV transmission and provision of care and support to the infected and affected people in Kenya.
National AIDS Control Council Programme Officer Vacancies
Responsibilities
Facilitate faith communities’ engagement in the HIV response in alignment to KASF priorities.
Implementation of the agreed action plans with Faith Communities to advance the HIV response.
Facilitate effective communication & negotiate on key issues between NACC, Faith Communities & Stakeholders.
Support Faith Communities & organizations in their delivery of HIV services
Develop an advocacy agenda with Faith Communities & Continuously provide them with
information to promote sustainable financing.
Facilitate forums that enhance partnerships, networking and linkages between Faith Based Organizations and other sectors.
Ensure quarterly Faith sector working Group meetings are held and Quarterly reporting to KASF Monitoring is done
Plan and organize National Biennial Faith Community Conferences on HIV and AIDS responses.
Strengthen effective representation of Faith communities at National and County levels related to HIV responses.
Facilitate consultative forums nationally and regionally at least once a year for top level religious Leaders and Faith sector representatives.
Ensure that the Faith Sector Capacity is built on Community AIDS Program Reporting (CAPR) tool.
Assist the Head- stakeholder Coordination in the overall coordination of HIV and AIDS activities among the Faith Sector Communities and Organizations;
Preparing reports to the Head – Stakeholder Coordination on Progress in HIV and AIDS prevention and control in the Faith sector;
Qualifications
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Management/ Business
Administration, from a recognized institution or its equivalent and a Master’s degree in
relevant field
A good understanding of how to engage Faith Communities
Possess computer application skills
Have demonstrated outstanding professional competence, ability and integrity as
reflected in work performance and results.
Ability to network, forge partnerships
4 years experience in HIV/ Health/ social development programming
Fulfil the expectations of chapter six of the constitution including getting the
clearances from HELB, KRA, CID and CRB.
Have served for a minimum period of five (5) years, of which three (3) years
must be in a reputable and recognized Religious Organizations /institution.
Have demonstrated a high degree of initiative, flexibility and reliability

National AIDS Control Council Programme Officer – County Support Vacancies
Responsibilities
Coordinate partnerships and collaborations with County Governments and Government agencies
working with Devolved structures such as Council of Governors, County Commissioners, and County Assemblies etc.
Coordinate HIV prevention and control activities undertaken by Regional and County offices in line with County HIV Strategic Plans and the Kenya AIDS Strategic Frameworks.
Coordination of NACC Inter-Division County activities.
Strengthen County ownership and delivery of County AIDS Strategic Plans.
Partner with counties in identification and execution of HIV projects and campaigns within the Counties.
Partner with counties in mainstreaming HIV activities within county activities and projects
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Public
Administration or Project Management from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning
At least 3 years’ experience working with Coordination of HIV Programmes.
Experience working with County Governments or agencies working with devolved structures.
Excellent writing, analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent intellectual and operational leadership in HIV and AIDS control work
and ability to enhance interaction with County Governments and other levels of
AIDS control actors.
Experience in partnership building and networking
Excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
A team player and results oriented
Computer literate
