Nation Media Group Jobs in Kenya - TV Creative Vacancies

Nation Media Group PLC, the leading multimedia house in the region wishes to recruit an innovative TV Creative.

The jobholder will be responsible for creating concepts from client briefs, executing the production process, giving support to the Direct/Agency teams in client presentations and providing creative ideas on programming and productions to improve the station.

He/she will need to have clear understanding of NTV, the media scene and advertising industry in Kenya as well as have understanding of industry dynamics.

Key focus areas will entail developing commercially viable concepts, good presentation skills, good product support skills, ability to deliver under pressure and the development of original and effective client driven TV products.

Key responsibilities include the following:

Internalizing briefs and coming up with original, distinctive and exciting concepts;

Copywriting;

Executing production process;

Pitching and presentation to clients;

Interpretation and application of research to concepts;

Identify electronic as well as digital opportunities;

Be up to date on overall advertising trends on programming'; and,

Have planning and budgeting skills.

Required Skills

Academic and Professional Experience

University degree in business, marketing or advertising;

Minimum of two (2)years' experience in a media scene (Marketing/Advertising);and,

Graphic Design ability - added advantage.

Attributes and skills required

An impressive conceptual outlook and ability to produce original ideas;

High-level creative thinking and the confidence to use it;

Multiple disciplines embracing the various roles required throughout a project;

Strong experience in concept creation;

The confidence to share and present ideas internally and externally;

Motivation and the desire to execute every job to the highest standard;

The ability to deliver campaigns that generate results;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

The ability to think laterally, be original and creative;

Prudent, able to work under pressure and a team player;

Good in execution, pays attention to detail and good in follow up;

Confident, able to make quick and hard creative decisions; and,

I.T Literacy and good command of English and Swahili (Written and Spoken).
