Narok County Director of Public Safety and Special Programs Jobs in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities

The officer will be responsible for the efficient management and co-ordination of
Government functions in the County where work will involve general administration and
co-ordination of Safety and special programs activities such as mobilization of resources;

Co-ordination of disaster management and emergency response activities;

Co-ordination and promotion of peace and security;

Promotion and co-ordination of conflict resolution and peace building;

Interpretation, dissemination and overseeing implementation of Government
policies;

Responding to parliamentary business specific to the County;

Coordinating County functions;

Supervising public servants in the County; and initiation of policy and giving feedback to the Government on policies that need to be re-assessed.

Requirement for Appointments

For appointments to grade an officer must have:-

Served in the grade of Deputy Director of Public Safety and Special Programs for at
least three (3) years.

Masters Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in any Social Science from a recognized
institution;

Attended a Strategic Leadership Development Programme from a recognized institution; and

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
