Nampya Farmers Market Field Farmer Facilitators Jobs in Uganda

Description

We’re looking for 10 results-driven Ugandans to actively seek out and engage farmer prospects.

You will mobilize rural farmers in Hubs, guide them on the best agricultural practices so as to produce quality food.

You will also help guide them on how to sell their commodities via our platform using their phones.

Responsibilities

Present, promote and buy agricultural products as per our catalog using solid arguments to smallholder farmers

Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of smallholder farmers to meet their needs

Establish, develop and maintain positive business and farmer relationships

Reach out to farmers through cold calling

Expedite the resolution of farmer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction

Achieve agreed upon production targets and outcomes from farmers within schedule

Coordinate farmers’ effort

Analyze productivity potential, track farm performance and status reports

Supply management with reports on farmer/field needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new sustainable supply chains

Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends

Continuously improve through feedback

Requirements

Proven work experience as an Agronomist

Excellent knowledge of MS Office

Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in agriculture economics

Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills

Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

BS/Agronomics degree or equivalent
