Requirements for Appointment

  • Have served in the grade of Chief Assistant Agricultural Officer (CAAO) for a minimum of three (3) years;

  • Be in possession of a Diploma in any of the following fields: Agriculture, Food Technology, Agriculture & Home Economics, Agriculture Education, Horticulture, or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

  • A Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or its’ equivalent from a recognized institution;

  • Demonstrated a high degree of professional and technical competence; and

  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gender and Home Management;

  • Land Development and Environment Management;

  • Crop Development;

  • Projects Monitoring and Evaluation;

  • Extension services;

  • Research, Liaison and Training; and

  • Promotion and Development of Agribusiness activities.
