Nairobi Technical Training Institute Procurement Officer Jobs in Kenya


  • Nairobi Technical Training Institute is a middle level TVET institution under the Ministry of Education, State Department of Technical and
    Vocational Training and wishes to recruit qualified employees to fill he following positions: Procurement Officer.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business Administration (Purchasing and Supplies Management Option) or its equivalent from a recognized Institution

    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management from a recognized Institution

    • Professional membership from a relevant body.

    • Minimum three (3) years relevant experience.

    • Computer literacy and good working knowledge in computer applications.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Advice the management on the best practices concerning procurement issues as contained in the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act and any other relevant legislation.

    • Ensure adherence to procurement procedures and standards through creating awareness to the users on the processes to be followed through open tendering and pre-qualification process for all goods and services used by the Institute.

    • Monitoring of user departments spending patterns and
    ensuring on-time update of procurement plan.

    • Proper documentation and maintenance of all supply documents including requisitions, quotation, LPOs, invoices and delivery notes awaiting payments.

    • Ensuring proper record management of various procurement processes, decisions and contractual agreements for accountability and audit purposes.
