Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
Driving the assigned vehicle; Carrying out routine checks on the vehicles' cooling, oil, electrical, tyre pressure, and brake systems etc. And reporting malfunctioning of the vehicle system;
Maintenance of work tickets for vehicle(s) assigned;
Ensuring safety of the passengers and goods therein; and
Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicles.
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D Plain or its approved equivalent.
Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for classes of vehicle(s) the officer is required to drive;
Attended a first aid certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week at St Johns Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBIT)
A valid certificate of good conduct from Kenya Police.
Defensive driving certificate from Automobiles Association of Kenya (AA) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
At least four years driving experience of category C vehicles;
Demonstrate outstanding professional competence and integrity in work performance and results
